Free Primary School Breakfast Clubs
The free breakfast club initiative is aimed at providing primary school pupils with the opportunity of receiving a free, healthy breakfast at school each day.
Free breakfast in primary schools is an integral part of our wider work to improve food and nutrition in schools and ensure all children are treated equally.
It has been proven that enjoying a good breakfast in the morning increases a pupil's concentration and behaviour in school. Breakfast Clubs also offer supervised play and social time in the morning, preparing the child for the day ahead and improving punctuality and attendance.
Breakfast Clubs are also useful for parents who need to start work early.
Breakfast Club at Ynyshir Primary School starts at 8.10 and all children who want to attend need to be here by 8.25.
All children who attend will receive toast, cereal or porridge & fruit juice, with supervised playtime, before being taken to class.
We offer the following breakfast selections…

- Shredded Wheat
- Weetabix
- Cornflakes
- Porridge
- Wholemeal toast
- apple/orange juice
- we can also provide for special diets
